first_imgTwo Americans are reportedly among the dead after a terrorist attack killed 26 people and injured 56 others at a hotel in Somalia.Police say gunmen stormed the hotel after setting off a car bomb last night in the southern port city of Kismayo on Friday.It took eleven hours for security forces to regain control and end the attack.The regional state president said two Americans are among those killed.One local official called it the deadliest attack in the city in seven years.The terror group Al Shabaab claimed responsibility for the attack in a statement saying it targeted Jubaland state ministers, regional and federal lawmakers, as well as candidates in the hotel but officials have not confirmed at this time.This story is developing.last_img


first_imgOfficials in Ohio are reporting that a 49-year-old woman was found dead inside of her home after being attacked by her own dogs.The incident was reported in Clearcreek Township, Ohio on Friday.Authorities say Mary Matthews was discovered unresponsive by her husband Mark Matthews, who had returned home from a three-day stent at the county jail.When investigators arrived at the scene, they reported finding several bite marks on the victim as well as blood scattered throughout the home. The report also stated the victim put the dogs out onto an enclosed patio, changed her clothing, and attempted to clean up some of the blood before succumbing to her injuries.The husband told authorities that the couple rescued the two Great Danes two years ago and one of them recently became aggressive and attacked him. He then went on to say that he wanted to get rid of the dog but his wife insisted on keeping it.Mark also reported that his wife suffered from alcoholism and took several prescription drugs which may have impacted her ability to realize the severity of her injuries.According to a report from WLWT both dogs have since been euthanized.last_img read more

After his conviction on 7 felony counts in a Washington DC courtroom, federal prosecutors wanted him to be taken into custody. Instead, the judge let him go home to South Florida instead to spend the holidays with family.Stone and his wife landed yesterday at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. The 67-year-old was convicted last week of charges that include obstruction, and lying to federal investigators under oath. He’s due back in DC in February for sentencing and faces many years in prison.After landing at FLL airport yesterday, Stone told reporters he’s “glad to be home, and he’s thankful to the millions of Americans who are praying for him and his family.”last_img

first_imgNikolas Cruz, the confessed Parkland shooter, was caught on video attacking a Broward Sheriff’s deputy behind bars.WSVN got the exclusive video of Cruz who has now been in prison for nearly two years since the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School massacre.The video was recorded on Nov. 13, 2018, and it shows Cruz walking in slow circles before attacking a BSO Sergeant sitting at a table.The video had no audio, but according to records, Sgt. Raymond Beltran “requested that Cruz not drag his sandals on the ground while walking around.”The fight between Cruz and Beltran went on for almost a full minute before he settled down.Beltran was reassigned, according to reports.last_img

The former New York mayor isn’t even on the ballot in New Hampshire but won by getting three of the five residents’ write-in votes, two from Democrats and one from a Republican. One of the voters told new reporters that he voted for Bloomberg because the candidate called him up and asked for his support.But new audio of Bloomberg is making the rounds on social media. Their 17-year-old daughter, Meadow Pollak was killed in during the shooting. The lawsuit is seeking the recovery of wrongful death damages that include the pain and suffering of Meadow Pollack’s survivors, beneficiaries, and heirs, the lost value of life, and funeral expenses.Andrew Pollack and Shara Kaplan filed the complaint Wednesday in federal court against the ‘UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.’ The filing said the FBI knew the gunman, Nikolas Cruz, “had the desire and capability to carry out a mass school shooting,” and that “he had spent the last several months collecting rifles and ammunition.”Despite this, “the FBI failed to take any action whatsoever” and “as a direct, proximate, and foreseeable result of the FBI’s negligence, Cruz was able to kill 17 students and teachers and wound many more,” according to the lawsuit.The full lawsuit is below:last_img read more
