Norwegian geophysical company Magseis has signed an exclusive technology agreement with Seismic Apparition to jointly develop and implement a new technology which could reduce operational time for ocean bottom seismic (OBS).Magseis said on Wednesday that the development of the tech, named Source Isolation, would be completed over the next nine months with commercial testing expected to begin in 2018.The company added that Source Isolation would deliver full fold, full-length isolated sources and offer the unique prospect of reservoir quality data from efficient exploration configurations.Cost reduction is one of the key drivers behind the implementation of this technology, the company noted. According to Magseis’ estimates, the cost to acquire OBS data by using Source Isolation could be reduced by 30-50 percent. The technology will be applicable both for reservoir 4D projects and more regional surveys.Johan Robertsson, CEO of Seismic Apparition, said: “We are delighted to be teaming up with Magseis for the introduction of our Source Isolation technology for OBS services. Our collaboration with Magseis, which is exclusive for OBS, is an important first step for us and we are excited about helping Magseis improve both quality and productivity at the same time.”Idar Horstad, CEO of Magseis, added: “Since Magseis was founded in 2009 we have challenged the cost of acquiring OBS data. The combination of our efficient, robust and reliable MASS technology with the Source Isolation technology from Seismic Apparition, will enable Magseis to deliver the same high quality OBS data to our customers at a significantly lower cost.”

“The policy of economic responsibility and good governance that this board of directors has always set forced to find the best solutions to an unexpected crisis. After this agreement with the soccer players, the scenarios that are presented to us in the future may be assumed by the entity without jeopardizing its economic viability. “ Betis officialized this Wednesday the agreement it has reached with its first professional squad to minimize the economic impact of the coronavirus. Finally, footballers will reduce their salary by 15% in the event that LaLiga is permanently suspended and in less relevant percentages in the event that the championship can be ended, with the difference of whether it is done behind closed doors or open doors, a scenario in which they could lose only two percent. This salary reduction also includes the coaching staff of the first team and senior management executives.“The pandemic has caused colossal damage to the global and national economy. In our professional sports sector, the economic impact will have unforeseeable consequences, with all competitions suspended with no restart date in sight and with the possibility that the main sources of income of the Club will be cut significantly, “says Betis in its statement. “In this way, the solidarity of the footballers, coaches and executives of the Club prevents the entity from having to request an ERTE that would significantly affect the 430 Real Betis workers and their families. In times of great uncertainty, Real Betis is committed to maintaining employment. The board of directors of the entity wants to thank effusively the facilities given by the players, with their captains at the forefront, who at all times have put forward the general interests of the Club and the whole of the Betis fans, “he adds.“This operation would not make sense if it did not reverse the whole of society, which is suffering so much in these weeks. Thus, after this agreement, the Club and the players will make a significant donation to fight the coronavirus, mainly destined to the purchase of protection material for the health workers who fight daily against the disease in our hospitals and the most vulnerable social groups in this crisis “-“Likewise, Real Betis Balompié wishes to convey its deepest condolences to the relatives of the deceased Betis in these days, examples of fidelity and dedication to greenish-white colors. And he also wants to send a message of encouragement and hope to all of Spain and all our fans, with special love for the sick, their families and all the healthcare professionals who take care of us, “he concludes.
